Role Description
This is a full-time role for a unique individual looking to help build a business from the ground up. You need to be a self starter and hands-on. Experience in manufacturing is a plus as well as basic QA experience. Optimizing operations is a big part of the job.
As a start you will learn to sharpen knives. You will be helping to pick up and deliver the knives to customers at their doorstep. Customer interfacing is critical and great personality and social skills are necessary. This is an on-site role with locations from day to day across the Bay Area. As Operations Manager you will also be optimizing our processes and help scaling up the business as we hire future employees as drivers and technicians. Quality is critical and improvements in quality control and management of customer tools through use of digital tracking systems will be needed.
You will be the key individual to help grow the company over the next months and years. Looking for people who are ready to be an entrepreneur and build a business, hourly pay to start but significant benefits including profit sharing and equity stake in this growing company.
Qualifications
- Must be a self-starter, be able to work both independently and lead a team
- Passion to build a business and grow it into full scale operation
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and keen ability to use hands and eyes to ensure quality checks through the process.
- Dexterity with tools such as grinding wheel, angle grinder, and various hand tools
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus
- Drivers License, with clean record
- Experience in knife maintenance and repair is NOT required. Training will be provided.
- Must be friendly and a people person!
